DIGITIZATION: The Contemporary Digital Art of Malaysia's Emerging Designers.

“Digitization” is a collective featuring a diverse range of digital artworks created by Malaysia’s Young Emerging Designers. It is an exploration of the new media art, how its complex effects influences the way we perceive, think and feel, just like conventional art does.

In the spirit of unearthing young and emerging Malaysian designers, contemporary digital art and culture in Malaysia has become an exciting, diverse and vibrant realm. With this new territory, the progress of Malaysian art will be unveiled and tapped to indefinite possibilities, by the harmony of inspirations, into a fusion of ideas.

In appreciating these designers’ works of art, one inadvertantly participates in a broader understanding and acceptance of digital media and cultures. Taking its cue from the exhibition, this book attempts to show that digital is the main current of 21st century art.

This will the first pre-highlights of Digitization at Bigbros workshop showcase space at Creative Catalyst in conjunction with Bangkok Design Festival 2009. There are more then 30 Malaysia Emerging Designers artwork on display from Studio Climb, Supernature, Stephan Lau, Sau Lim, Action Tintoy, Michael Chuah, Muid Latif, 84cubes, Sheiko, Kawakong, Robonut, Motiofixo, Maws, Venn Soh, Efozy, Flierz, Jonas Liang, Sophie, Monographiz, Banghoux, Melissa Lin, Farhani Othman, Chee Way, Visual80, Urban Cr3atures, et-Artspace, Room99, Chicken1985 & Mc Lelun.

Contemporary digital art and culture in Malaysia has become an exciting, diverse and vibrant realm. In the spirit of unearthing young and emerging Malaysian designers, Big Brothers Workshop and the National Art Gallery of Malaysia presents ( Insert Title Here).

This poster exhibition aims to showcase and highlight the diverse perspectives and expressions of our local design culture, one that is made up of unique flavors, influences and inspirations. Focusing on emerging talents, this exhibition reveals the natural progression of design in Malaysia through the eyes of this new generation.

This is an invitation to you/ your collective to participate in this exhibition. Please include in your reply, a description of your intended work, your bio and designer/artist statement.

if you are confuse with how many pixels should a 300 dpi A0 is (like me)

some info i found online

A0 (841mm x 1189mm)
300 dpi: 9933 x 14043 pixels

once u did it in vector format (AI), u can bloat the artwork as big as u like.. no worries bout the dpi thingy unless u create ur artwork in photoshop (PSD). Hope can make it for this one... huhuhu... i want6ed to join this one!!!!

oh, btw.. the artwork to be sent thru pipit mail, is it gonna be the final artwork or just low res jpg for visual purposes only? Once noticed, only then send the original artwork?
