To celebrate H5s latest Black Lab pop-up store in Mid Valley Megamall, H5 has teamed up with 20 talented Malaysian designers to create the NookaNooka Artist Series.
The collaboration with these creative think tanks sees the iconic NookaNooka mascot being transformed and reincarnated into a one-of-a-kind interpretation from each commissioned artist. From the Monkey God to a howling werewolf, a nature-loving creature to an electronic robot, each of these customised NookaNookas has successfully amassed a life of its own.
As part of this awesome initiative, H5 is giving you a chance to win a Nooka Zub series to call your own. All you have to do is visit the H5 Black Lab pop-up store and rate the Top 3 designs from the NookaNooka Artist Series. Three winners who correctly predict the three most popular designs (in first, second and third placing, respectively) each win themselves a Nooka watch worth RM559! Alternatively you can also visit the H5 Facebook Fan Page to check out the designs and rate them.
Get on down to the H5 Black Lab pop-up store or surf the H5 Facebook Fan Page now and be that much closer to owning your very own distinctive Nooka!
*Note: This contest is open to all Malaysians and runs from 12 to 28 March 2010. Results will be announced one week after the contest closing date on H5s Facebook Fan Page. Winners will also be notified via telephone or e-mail. In the event of a tie, a draw will be held to determine the top three winners. About Nooka
Nooka is the brainchild of artist and designer, Matthew Waldman. In 1997, Matthew had a flash-back to a first grade math class while staring at a large wall clock in a London hotel and was struck by how few options there were for time display. He then sketched his ideas for potential designs on a napkin and brought them back to New York. After working on the designs, he submitted them to his legal team, and indeed, they were unique enough to patent!
The linear and graphic representation of time with Nooka timepieces presents a more intuitive way to view time. The visual mass increases as time passes, giving weight to an ephemeral and abstract concept - creating a universal visual language.
Rather than just style the appearance of an object, Nookas reconceptualization is based on analytic and artistic underpinnings that incorporate trends in fashion and science. The approach is beyond any material product it is a concept, a method, a mindstyleTM.
